It's not really on a channel, but it's about games.
Hi again, my name's still Arthur and with a few mates we've been doing this multiverse's only belgian gaming show.
I'm not sure if you remember me, but I've already bugged you a few months ago about
this episode
.
At the time, you didn't seem to find the experience too unpleasant. Actually, I think I quite remember some of you liking it.
So, we've decided to do another one. It's our most ambitious episode yet: the "critiques" are fully dubbed, the sketches are translated properly. (i.e.: the jokes actually work in english).
This time I'm taking a look at these games:
Dead Space
, E.A. Redwood Shores on PS3/360.
Donkey Kong Jungle Beat
, Nintendo E.A.D. Tokyo on Nintendo GameCube.
Frequency
, Harmonix Music Systems on PlayStation 2.
MadWorld
, Platinum Games on Wii.
MegaMan 9
, Inti Creates on WiiWare/XBLA/PSN.
PaRappa the Rapper 2
, NaNaOn-Sha on PlayStation 2.
Wii Music
, Nintendo on Wii.
Streaming version here, fully dubbed (with an invigorating belgian accent) for your viewing pleasure
.
If you'd rather download a gorgeous 480p/16:9 version of the show, just do the right-click here
.

There is something wonderfully disorientating about the Wii Music review with the original language, the translated subs and then the voice over in english.
Plus points for the odd Paedo-Kong joke that was just left to hang there, Stamp-on-a-tramp and the frequency intro.
And he never said "Hammertime", you liar!

I'm thinking of having a friend do a cross-translation in spanish on the left channel of the audio, to be honest. There's no reason for them not to suffer.
And for the hammertime joke, translating's not a precise science and I still think it quite works that way.
Thank you for your kind comment, sir!

i think everything is actually funnier in a Belgian accent
i did feel a bit dizzy by the end of the wii music review like, it was like one of those dubbed kung fu b-movies where the subtitles and dubbed dialogue don't match at all....but, y'know, about games.

That's just a fact. And believe, we have tons of accents. Hundreds! And we're continually making fun of the most outlandish ones. Verily, Belgium is pretty much the Shire.
I seem to be getting a lot of feedback on that Wii Music piece. Did it actually make you dizzy enough for you to stop watching? Should I add stroboscopic effects to some of the videos for optimal dizziness?
(And I've noticed seems to want to try and send me some commented footage of Donkey Kong Jungle Beat running on the Wii. I'm kinda surprised.)

Has your signiture on this forum always been 'Enjoy the Future', MaSQuE?
If it has, I hadn't noticed it when I typed 'The future!' as my review for the latest show. Subliminal shit?

I just changed it. Because, to be honest, I've been using it in a sarcastic way for more than three years in the french realm.

Cracking show Masque although I'd like to throw my own hat into the 'Wii music review over
blood
dub was a little hard to follow' pile.
How often will you be making English versions of pust-start because I'll need a few episodes to show to my friends before they hop on board.

Gotcha, do remember making a show like this one is a learning process and it will take me a few tries to get it done properly.
Well, I've still got one episode that can be fully dubbed. That should come around your way in the latter half of september.
Then we'll be attacking the fourth season with, I expect, a Ghostbusters episode. Ideally, come late october you'll have both on your hdds. (Do give it a go in its full glory: it's very nice).
